In 1987, Carpet Corner joined Carpet One Floor & Home, a network of over 2,000 independently owned stores, which gave us the buying power of a national retailer while allowing us to stay true to our roots as a locally owned business.
After Howard Mayer retired in 1993, his son Jon Mayer took over, continuing the family legacy. About ten years ago, Jon's son-in-law Kevin Hoover joined Carpet Corner, later becoming managing partner and further strengthening our leadership team.
